About Design and Flow

IT’S TIME TO CHANGE DESIGN TO DESIGN CHANGE

Design and Flow is a strategic design and innovation movement that initiates leading-edge dialogues about culture and champions the use of design as a tool to positively transform the world. Based in NYC, with satellites in Paris and Dubai, we partner with like-minded individuals and organizations, from all design backgrounds and corners of the world, to #addflow to turbulent social, organizational, political, economic and environmental situations and to inspire the design of elegant interventions that support lasting advancement. We then disseminate the collaborative work through a variety of publication outlets, curated exhibitions and our D&F label offering proprietary designs for sale and open designs for download.

The Dream Team

TPL_SUBTITLE_THE_DREAM_TEAM

Design and Flow was created by former high school friends and colleagues Hala A. Malak and Reina Arakji. Fueled by a passion for social change in 2015 they decided to collaborate on a platform to promote the power of design as a strategic, innovative, and transformative tool. They joined forces with Muhyiddin Sadek, a creative professional based in Dubai, and grew the concept into a brand. From NYC, to Dubai, Beirut, Washington DC and Paris the team expanded, each member carrying the same vision and joining the movement. Our Dream Team is a collective of international, multidisciplinary, like-minded people with exceptional skills and stories who strive to elevate design to be seen beyond aesthetics and truly impact change. We are constantly designing and experimenting with the way we work. For starters, we do not believe that location limits us - our team members are scattered all over the world. We are also champions of a true collaborative approach - every member of our team’s input is valuable to the bigger picture and discussion.
